Description
de cero is a modern day taqueria offering fresh Mexican cuisine in the heart of the west loop. It is conveniently located at 814 W. Randolph Street, just 1 block west of 90/94 expressway on the north side of the street, 1 door east of Redlight.
de cero was created by the co-owners of sushi wabi, Angela M. Hepler and Susan Traina Thompson. They describe de cero as the first of its kind in Chicago by providing fresh Mexican cuisine in a modern Mexican atmosphere.
Jill Barron is the chef of de cero. She combines the indigenous flavors of Mexico with the freshest ingredients to create a menu focused on innovative recipes and simple, elegant presentation. She describes her style of cuisine as fresh coastal Mexican food.
de cero's specialty drink menu is incredible! It offers a variety of fresh fruit and herb combinations. The house favorites are the Peach Chamomile Colada and the Raspberry Basil Daiquiri. A small yet carefully chosen tequila list will be highlighted. There is a smoking lounge in the bar area. Additionally, customers may reserve the private party room for special occasion and margarita parties.
